Frequently asked questions
Can I edit a PDF for free without Adobe?
Yes. This editor runs entirely in your browser. No Adobe subscription, no desktop software, no account. Upload your PDF, make changes, download the result.
What kind of edits can I make?
You can add text, images, shapes, highlights, freehand drawings, and signatures. You can also rearrange, rotate, or delete pages. Editing is annotation-based — you add on top of existing content rather than reflowing existing text.
Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?
Currently, you can add new text on top of existing content but not reflow or directly modify the original text in the document. Advanced text reflow editing is in development and coming in a future update.
Is the PDF editor safe to use?
Yes. Your file is processed in your browser and never uploaded to a server. We cannot access your document. Close the tab and it is gone.
Can I add a signature to a PDF?
Yes. Draw your signature with your mouse, trackpad, or finger on a touchscreen. Place it anywhere on the page, resize it, and save.
Does editing reduce PDF quality?
No. Your edits are layered on top of the original content without recompressing the existing pages. The output keeps the same resolution and clarity.
