Both require a colour photo, and the Police validator accepts .jpg files only. Make yours now

Each button opens our free Photo & Signature Resizer with that size already picked. It makes a file that matches the published size and file-size limits, and tells you if your image can't. Your image stays in your browser.

How to make yours

  1. Take a recent colour photo; BCS asks for one taken no more than three months earlier, without sunglasses. Sign on paper, then scan the signature or photograph it flat in good light.
  2. Press the button for the item under Make yours now. The resizer opens with that size already picked.
  3. Add your image and move or resize the crop box, which has the 300 × 300 or 300 × 80 shape. For a signature, Auto-trim white margins fits the box around the ink.
  4. Press Photo & Signature Resizer, then Download. The file you get ends in .jpg.
  5. Check the result card: it shows the pixels and the size in KB. The Police portal also has a Photo & Signature Validator, and its how-to asks you to check your files there.

  • The instructions name no file format. Our resizer saves a JPG.

Bangladesh Police: Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC)

  • The portal's Photo & Signature Validator says:

“Photo must be 300 X 300 pixel (width X height) and file size not more than 100 KB. Signature must be 300 X 80 pixel (width X height) and file size not more than 60 KB. Colour Photo is a must.”

“Black & White, Monochrome or Grayscale photo or any image other than photo will not be accepted. This application is capable to detect image with Facial Recognition.”

  • The validator checks the file name and accepts only names ending in .jpg. Its message:

“Image file format must be .jpg!!”

  • The Bengali how-to gives the same pixel sizes:

    “সকল তথ্য সঠিকভাবে পূরণ করা হলে Upload Photo & signature স্ক্রলবারে ৩০০x৩০০ Pixel ছবি এবং ৩০০x৮০ Pixel স্বাক্ষর Upload করুন।”

    “প্রার্থীর ছবি রঙিন (কালার ফটো) আবশ্যক।”

In English: “The candidate's photo must be in colour (colour photo).”

  • They give no KB limit and no file format. Our DPE ready-made sizes keep the files under 100 KB and 60 KB, the BCS and Police limits. If your circular gives a different limit, type it in the KB boxes.

Other Bangladesh job portals

  • Many other job portals run by Teletalk publish circulars that look similar, but we checked only the three above. Check the size in your own circular.

Questions

Is 300 × 300 the photo size for every government job in Bangladesh?

We can't say that. BCS, Bangladesh Police TRC and DPE all ask for a 300 × 300 photo and a 300 × 80 signature, but we haven't checked other circulars. Check yours.

Can my photo be exactly 100 KB?

BCS and the Police validator both say “not more than” 100 KB, so 100 KB is the limit. Our resizer stays a little under it, so the file stays within the limit whether the form counts 1 KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.

Is a black-and-white photo OK?

No. BCS says a black-and-white photo isn't acceptable, the Police validator rejects black-and-white, monochrome and grayscale photos, and DPE requires a colour photo.

Does DPE have a KB limit?

Its instructions don't give one, and neither does the 05 Nov 2025 circular: only the pixel sizes and the colour rule. Our DPE ready-made sizes keep the files under 100 KB and 60 KB, the BCS and Police limits.
