FPSC and ASF photo size for online applications (KB limits)
FPSC General Recruitment asks for a photo of less than 30 KB, in JPG/JPEG format. ASF (Airports Security Force) asks for a photo of less than 30 KB and an image of the front of your CNIC of less than 30 KB; it names no file format. Neither sets a pixel size, only a KB limit, so crop your photo to your head and shoulders first.

Not covered yet: PPSC: when we checked, we couldn't confirm its current photo limit on PPSC's own site, so it isn't on this page yet. KPPSC, SPSC, ETEA and NTS publish no upload size we could find. For these, use the limit in your own advertisement or on the application form.
Make yours now
Each button opens our free Photo & Signature Resizer with that size already picked. It makes a file that matches the published size and file-size limits, and tells you if your image can't. Your image stays in your browser.

How to make yours
- Use a recent passport-size photo. ASF says no informal, full-body or blurred photo and no selfie; FPSC also says to avoid informal pictures. For ASF's CNIC image, scan or photograph the front of your card so it's readable and not rotated.
- Press the button for the item under Make yours now. The resizer opens with that size already picked.
- Add your image and move or resize the crop box until your head and shoulders fill it (or, for the CNIC, the card fills it). With no pixel size to match, the box keeps your image's own shape.
- Press Photo & Signature Resizer, then Download.
- Before you upload, check the result card: it shows the size in KB. If your crop can't get under 29 KB at its size, the resizer makes it smaller in pixels and says so.
What the notice also says
FPSC General Recruitment
- The photo step of the online application:
“Upload your recent passport size picture in (jpg, jpeg) format having size less than 30 Kb. Avoid uploading informal pictures.”
- Later, the same guidelines say:
“The picture size must be less than 30 KB and in “jpeg” format only. Avoid uploading informal pictures.”
- The guidelines mention no signature upload and no pixel size.
ASF (Airports Security Force)
- The photo:
“Upload softcopy of your recent / fresh passport size picture of less than 30 KB”
- And:
“Do not upload informal, full body, blurred photo or selfie.”
- The CNIC image:
“Upload clearly readable front side of your CNIC image of less than 30 KB size”
- And:
“Do not upload rotated, not-readable image.”
- The guideline names no file format and no pixel size. Our resizer saves a JPG.
Questions
What pixel size should my FPSC or ASF photo be?
Neither sets one: both guidelines give only a KB limit. Crop to your head and shoulders, and keep the file under 30 KB.
Is a 30 KB file OK?
No. Both say “less than 30 KB”, and 30 KB isn't less than 30 KB. Our ready-made sizes aim under 29 KB to leave a margin.
Does ASF want a JPG?
The ASF guideline doesn't name a format. Our resizer saves a JPG, the format FPSC asks for.
Can I use one photo for both?
Yes, if it's under 30 KB and a JPG: that meets FPSC's size and format rule, and ASF's limit is also less than 30 KB.
